First of all we decided our toy boxes needed sorting out, so all 3 super size toy boxes were tipped all over the play room floor. Then we took a vote to see which toys went where. Then we made it a game to see who could pick up the most toys the quickest. Needless to say this was the easiest any clean up has ever gone, and we now have a box for Lego a box for soft guys and box for "other".
Then we all moved outdoors to make sticky sand
5 cups playpen sand
3 cups flour
1 cup cooking oil
Simply let your little ones mix and mush till their hearts are content
This was fun enough, but we added to it by making it a 3D shape activity
From there we decided to make lady bugs, so out came egg boxes.
We simply cut the bottom of the egg boxes into sections, painted it added black dots and stapled on a face, you could use Pom poms and wiggly eyes from your local craft shop but by now I had a bunch of tired kids. Those same tired kids didn't want to quit painting though so we used the tops of the egg boxes to make nests for our bugs.
Lunch today was another new recipe and another resounding success.
2 butternut, peeled seeded and chopped
1 green pepper
Chicken stock I used 2 cubes and enough water to cover veg
Milk about 250ml
Salt and pepper
Simply boil all the veg in stock till tender
Add milk and season
Put in blender and liquidize
Return to pan and reheat, serve with crusty bread.
The kids loved it another veggie success
